Thoughts about food

I get a lot of comments about the food I eat. Ranging from “Oh I can’t believe you can or are allowed eat that” to “oh you can eat whatever you want because you are tiny” to “why are you following a diet???”

I think some people have such twisted thinking about food. Food is not the enemy, carbs are not making you fat, food is fuel and when used correctly your body can thrive. We just have to learn how to eat smarter. I can still eat the foods I love in moderation and have the physique I want because I know how to follow the plan. We actually need more food than we think at times to kick start the fat loss process. Eating in major deficit for long periods does not do good for our body.

Some people also think that because I’m “tiny” or “skinny” (I hate those words) I can eat whatever I want without consequence. I’ve been down that road before and it lead me to be 40lbs heavier. We don’t get to a goal body and then just quit and expect to stay there. Yes, I enjoy treats and have vacation breaks (like I am now) but these are either fitting my macros or not happening on the regular. If I want to maintain my body I have to eat a certain way. I am at a point now where I get to eat a lot of calories day to day, but it took awhile to get there and I still have some guide lines to follow
