Self love....

You deserve to be loved not only by those around you, but also by the most important person in your life...YOU!

What does self love look like for me? Taking care of my body so I can feel my best. Training isn’t all about looking good. It’s feeling good and being to perform your best every single day. Prepping your body to able to function without injury as an older adult.

It’s also about loving your body thru all the stages. Giving yourself grace. Understanding that our goals take time and usually require us to go through some time where maybe we don’t look our best. Stopping the ridiculous expectations. Treating your body with respect, fueling it properly, allowing it adequate sleep & rest, taking a step back when we’ve stressed it out too much. Not pushing harder and expecting more when it’s crying out for a break.

Things really changed for me when I started listening to my body and just being thankful that I have to ability to move and train. Many of us GET TO workout whenever we want, we don’t HAVE TO, but we are blessed with the opportunity to do so when many truly can not. What a beautiful gift. Never take it for granted.
