My Vacation Plan

I want my vacation to be a break from my every day life. I like to reset and refuel and then hope to come back mentally and physically stronger

I typically do not workout much on vacation much especially if I am pretty active during my trip. We usually love to get out and explore and do a lot of walking to places as much as we can. I may hit the gym here and there since this is just a trip for me and my hubs, but I never want my gym time to interfere with other’s plans or time. I will bring some resistance bands in my suitcase as well to have if there is downtime in hotel room. I usually go into a trip having big plans to workout and 90% of time I don’t come close to doing it

I will be mindful of my diet, but I will not let it hold me back from enjoying my time. I’ve got a pretty good idea of what and how much I need to eat in a day to meet my macros. I will listen to my body and intuitively eat when I’m hungry. My goal is to eat somewhat healthy choices and not be afraid of desserts and wine. I always pack several protein bars and rice cakes to have for snacks in between meals

I’m a pro at eating out even in my home life so I know what to do. I focus on more proteins and veggies and say no to extra stuff like cheese, butter, mayo, fatty salad dressings. Cutting back on these little fats allows me some room for dessert or high calorie meals (pizza) here and there. Save your calories when you can (eating egg whites instead of eggs, eat dry toast, use Sugar free syrup) But don’t hold back either...if you really want something just get it. Try not to overindulge, eat till full and be done

In the end, our bodies did not end up overweight after a week of bad eating. It took weeks/months of bad habits to get to that place. So enjoying yourself for a week should not be a problem as long as you get back to it when home. Now detoxing from the fun food when you get home is a another topic😂. Drink your water and stay strong. Slowly ease back into macros if needed. Cheers and enjoy! ❤️SC
