MACRO COUNTING MISTAKES
I thought I’d go through some of the biggest macro counting mistakes that may be keeping you from your goals
1️⃣not tracking food accurately- eyeballing serving sizes instead of weighing out food. Tracking for 1 serving size on a box when in fact may be eating way more than that
2️⃣eating back activity calories you “burned” as stated by an Apple watch or Fitbit
3️⃣not tracking all bites, licks, grabs or not tracking condiments
4️⃣not pre-planning your day or meal prepping
5️⃣eating first, tracking second- not making sure what your are eating is fitting your macros
6️⃣staying in deficit too long
7️⃣over estimating your activity (TDEE) and not in enough deficit
8️⃣falling off wagon on weekends
9️⃣not being patient or consistent
🔟expecting unrealistic results too soon
1️⃣1️⃣relying on your numbers on the scale to define your progress- not taking body measurements or before pictures
If you are at a standstill make sure you’re doing everything right. If you are, there are still some other factors that could be slowing you down...sleep deprivation, stress levels, chronic dieting to name a few...Those are a whole other post. So hopefully this can help or something to be mindful of if you are just getting started. If you are guilty of some of these things (ME!), but are happy with where you are at then no worries! All that matters is what YOU think of your body. I only bring the up to those who are frustrated they are not seeing results but come to find out they aren’t putting forth 100%. Let me know if you need help! Love, SC
