Weekend Diets
It’s a holiday weekend and you guys know I usually am on the “memories over macros” plan. But after some client conversations this week I thought I’d give a gentle reminder here that unfortunately, we can’t always have it all. Can’t have your cake and eat it too! So what that means is it’s totally cool to take a weekend or even a week off here and there, but you honestly can’t be expecting much as far as fat loss that week and sometimes beyond.
So keep expectations real if in fat loss stage. If you need a break great, I’m here for it and support it, but don’t expect much from the scale after it’s said and done. And don’t be surprised with some extra water weight for several days or even a week after. So many get frustrated and give up because they think things aren’t working. It takes time and weeks of consistency in the beginning. Can’t be on and off the plan all the time. Taking weekends off can be like 2 steps forward, 2 steps back so if you are doing this on the regular you can see why there really isn’t anything happening. It’s about the whole week, not being in deficit for 5 days and then being completely over 1 or 2 days a week. And it’s also about training your body to develop new habits that can last a lifetime. When I was in deficit I was 100% committed for 4 weeks straight. No off days, no alcohol. Got my results quick and up my calories went. So again I want you to have fun, but I also want you to meet your goals that you have worked so hard for. I always support you either way! There is no right or wrong answer here, but it’s all about what your priority is. Hope you have a beautiful weekend! Can’t believe summer is coming to an end 😭😭😭❤️SC
