What I have learned since being in calorie deficit

How quickly I’m reminded of the things I preach to clients every single day! Deficit life is no joke. But here are some friendly reminders here to help you in your next deficit!

1) make the most out of your calories! Don’t waste precious calories on crap that has zero nutritional value or fill up. It leaves you wanting more and likely busting your macro balance!

2) drink your water! Stay properly hydrated so you aren’t confusing dehydration with hunger. The more water you drink the less you retain!

3) must get proper sleep! This can be hard when calories are low. But missing out on sleep will have you searching for energy all day usually with excess food consumption. Also makes for a much longer day awake and again wanting food during those wake hours. Workouts will suffer greatly when not properly rested.

4) Don’t hoard calories for end of day. Not only does it make the day pretty miserable but it can lead to a way off track night if allowing yourself to get too hungry. Keep self satisfied.

5) don’t under shoot numbers goes along with above, but more in the long run. Eating under your numbers day after day will catch up with you eventually and usually leads to a binge. Keeping your body nourished at all times is best for sticking to the plan and consistency. Consistency equals results.

And finally, don’t stay here long. This is a very short term spot. Your body is not thriving here. It really shouldn’t be “enjoyable” or “easy”. If it is, you’ve probably been here too long. Time to move calories up.

Hope this is helpful.
